UMBERTO CICERI

Umberto Ciceri è nato a Milano, vive e lavora a Bologna.
Dalla fine degli anni Ottanta conduce una complessa sperimentazione su tematiche quali la neurofisiologica, la quantistica e il moto perpetuo che nelle sue ultime sperimentazioni è riuscito a tradurre con la tecnica del lenticolare. Questa ricerca ha dato vita alla serie di lavori Hypertrait.
Nel 2007 è intervistato nel programma “Art in Progress” sul canale Leonardo Sky di Milano.
Nel 2008, assieme ad Alessandro Brighetti, presenta un originale progetto espositivo intitolato Order without Border nello Spazio 2bo, un suggestivo scenario archeologico industriale. Sempre nello stesso anno partecipa a Re- volt. Corpo elettrico, presso l’Ex Centrale Enel–volt di Reggio Emilia, all’interno della manifestazione Fotografia Europea Reggio Emilia.
Nel 2009 è tra gli artisti selezionati per prendere parte all’iniziativa ARTFIRTS OFF dove presenta il progetto The magic baton alla Galleria Cavour di Bologna. Sempre del 2009 sono le partecipazioni alle Fiere Art First e MiArt con la Galleria L’Ariete Contemporanea, Bologna.

Umberto Ciceri was born in Milan and now lives and works in Bologna.
Since the late Eighties he has been experimenting with themes such as neurophysiology, quantum mechanics and perpetual motion which in his latest experiments he has managed to translate with the lenticular technique. This study gave rise to the Hypertrait series of works.
In 2007 he was interviewed for the “Art in Progress” programme on the Sky Leonardo channel in Milan.
In 2008, together with artist Alessandro Brighetti he presented an original exhibition project entitled Order without Border at the Spazio 2bo, an evocative industrial archaeological setting. Again in 2008, he took part in Re- volt. Corpo elettrico [Re-volt: Electric Body] at the former Enel–volt Power Station in Reggio Emilia, as part of the Reggio Emilia European Photography Festival.
In 2009 he was among those artists selected to take part in the ART FIRST OFF initiative where he presented his The magic baton project at Galleria Cavour in Bologna. Again in 2009 his work was shown at the Art First and MiArt festivals with Galleria L’Ariete Contemporanea, Bologna.
